Learn to Write Your Own Music
Composing Club will help you take your song from inspiration to reality! With easy to follow exercises and fun activities to unleash your creativity, you’ll feel confident mapping, composing, and performing your first original piece of music.
Who is this for?
MORNING SESSION
10.00am to 12.00pm • $40
The morning session is perfect for:
- Complete beginners through to students who’ve been learning an instrument for a couple of years
- Kids who are aged over 8 years old
- Anyone who wants to learn a simple method for writing their own songs
FULL DAY INTENSIVE
10.00am to 3.00pm • $65
The longer Composing Club Intensive that continues into the afternoon is for students who:
- Have completed at least two years of music lessons (in any instrument)
- Are aged over 11 years
- Have a basic understanding of music notation (or are wanting to learn)
What does this workshop involve?
When taking part in Composing Club you’ll receive:
- A workbook with an in-depth strategy for writing an original piece of music
- Personalised help developing your first (or latest) song
- The opportunity to notate and print a copy of your finished piece
Where is the workshop held?
The next in-person workshop is at the Pianosaurus Rex Studio in North New Brighton.
