Learn to Write Your Own Music
Composing Club will help you take your song from inspiration to reality! With easy to follow exercises and fun activities to unleash your creativity, you’ll feel confident mapping, composing, and performing your first original piece of music.
Who is this for?
The Composing Club morning session is perfect for students who:
- Have started learning a musical instrument
- Are aged between 8 and 12 years old
- Are interested in learning the basics of reading music
The longer Composing Club Intensive held in the afternoon is for students who:
- Have completed at least two years of music lessons (in any instrument)
- Are aged between 12 and 16 years
- Have a basic understanding of music notation
What does this workshop involve?
When taking part in Composing Club you’ll receive:
- A workbook with an in-depth strategy for writing an original piece of music
- Personalised help developing your first (or latest) song
- The opportunity to notate and print a copy of your finished piece

The next in-person workshop is at the Pianosaurus Rex Studio in North New Brighton.
