Learn to Write Your Own Music
Composing Club will help you take your song from inspiration to reality! With easy to follow exercises and fun activities to unleash your creativity, you’ll feel confident mapping, composing, and performing your first original piece of music.
Who is this for?
Composing Club is perfect for students who:
- Have completed at least one year of music lessons (in any instrument)
- Are aged between 9 and 14 years old
What’s the difference between the sessions?
The two sessions cover different approaches to composing. Both are available to any students who meet the above criteria, but are better suited to different ages:
- The morning session is aimed at younger students (between 9 years and 11 years)
- The afternoon session is better for older students (between 12 years and 14 years)
What does this workshop involve?
When taking part in Composing Club you’ll receive:
- A workbook with lots of different strategies for getting started with composing
- Personalised help developing your first song
- The opportunity to notate and print a copy of your finished piece
Where is the workshop held?
The next in-person workshop is at the Pianosaurus Rex Studio in North New Brighton.
